One evening after giving my daughter her bath, I was placing the empty shampoo bottle in the trash bin, and started thinking, another empty plastic bottle. I know that recycling helps to reduce the amount of plastic in our waste sites, but was realistic enough to understand that not all these bottles make it to recycling centers. Newspapers and magazines are filled with articles explaining that plastic takes hundreds of years to breakdown and that it presents harm to our fragile environment.  This raised the question, why weren't we using alternatives for plastic container packaging that are safe for our environment? The thought of leaving behind a plastic-filled world for my children and future generations was concerning.  I decided to begin researching and educating myself on how plastics were made and how it impacts our environment.

 

During my research, I stumbled upon various sources of information that caused even more concern.  I learned how bath and body products were made with harmful, toxic, synthetic chemical ingredients. After reading and studying articles, I learned the benefits of using only natural ingredients in my own bath and body products.  I began looking into creating products for my family that would be safe for them as well as the environment.  For total commitment, this meant that not just the product but also the packaging must prevent harm now and in the future.  Since I would be using these products on my own family, I wanted to be sure to use only high quality safe ingredients.  This was the start of using natural bath and body products in my own home.
